Youth Mental Health Training and Safeguarding Support for Schools
Whitebridge Centre for Youth Mental Health works in partnership with primary schools, secondary schools, trusts and alternative provision settings to strengthen early identification, safeguarding response and emotional resilience within existing pastoral systems.
Our programmes are structured, policy aligned and designed to complement statutory safeguarding responsibilities.
Staff Youth Mental Health Training
We deliver practical, structured training for:
- Teachers
- Pastoral teams
- Senior leadership
- Designated Safeguarding Leads
- Teaching assistants
Training areas include:
- Recognising early signs of anxiety, low mood and distress
- Understanding thresholds and safeguarding escalation
- Responding appropriately to disclosures
- Maintaining professional boundaries
- Supporting emotional regulation in the classroom
Sessions are available as inset day delivery, twilight sessions or multi session programmes.
Student Mental Health and Resilience Workshops
Age appropriate workshops for Key Stage 2, 3 and 4 focusing on:
- Emotional regulation tools
- Anxiety awareness
- Managing exam stress
- Transition support
- Peer relationships
- Digital pressure and boundaries
All sessions are structured, non therapeutic and aligned with safeguarding policy.
Parent Information Sessions
Optional workshops designed to support parents in understanding:
